“Wälter’s World”: Opening Titles & Show Graphics

Wälter’s World was an ORF entertainment series that followed a German journalist on a sarcastic journey through Vienna’s stereotypes. For the show, aimed at a young audience, I created the opening titles along with the full graphics package: visual effects, transitions, and animations that punctuate key moments and add humor and energy.

The Challenge: The series needed a visual identity as irreverent and witty as its host, one that would grab a young audience and make the show’s humor land on screen.
My Role: As Design Lead for ORF1, I led the creative direction and a team of five to six artists, working closely with Peter Wälter from concept to broadcast.
The Approach: I mixed illustration, typography, photography, and motion graphics into a playful, layered look, with visual gags and graphic punchlines that amplify the show’s sarcastic tone.
The Result: An immersive, energetic graphics package that gave the series its own personality and kept viewers engaged from the first frame to the last.
